Lost Waves On My Mind
Lost Waves "On My Mind" is the latest output of my musical moniker: Lost Waves. A bubbly concoction, "On My Mind" was cooked up in consecutive takes, late on a Sunday in Brooklyn. The 11:09 single fast follows the recent release of an ambrosial album of Lost Waves improvisations, developing upon the themes of:
a) accidents of occurrence;
b) boundaries of time, blurred and resequenced;
c) wanderings through whistful washes and willowy waves of white noise.
Recorded on Sunday October 6, 2019, I played the Teenage Engineering OP-1 and Moog Sirin augmented by two effects pedals to control live looping, pitch-shifting, reverb, and delay. The percussive rhythms were sequenced imprecisely on the OP-1.
